Dover is a city in Stewart County , Tennessee , 67 miles (108 km) westnorthwest of Nashville on the Cumberland River . An old national cemetery is in Dover. In 1914 , the population was estimated at about 600 people. The population was 1,442 at the 2000 census. It is the county seat of Stewart County GR6 .
